OEM Hats Manufacturer for Custom Headwear Programs
OEM Hats develops and manufactures custom hats and headwear for brands that need a structured OEM or ODM production program. The work starts with a product brief, reference sample or specification and moves through development, sample approval, production control and repeat orders.

5-Panel Program Development
Start from the buyer brief by defining panel layout, crown depth, brim profile, material and intended decoration before the first sample is made.
5-Panel Material & Trim Specification
Fabric, woven labels, closure hardware and brim construction are documented together so the sample reflects the intended retail specification.
5-Panel Sample Approval
The physical sample is used to confirm fit, crown proportion, brim shape and decoration placement before bulk production is released.
5-Panel Repeat-Order Reference
Approved samples and recorded specifications become the reference for repeat production, reducing avoidable variation between orders.

Baseball Cap Development Brief
Crown profile, panel construction, brim curve, fabric, closure and branding requirements are defined from the brief before sampling begins.

Baseball Cap Decoration Specification
Embroidery size, logo position and front-panel structure are reviewed together so decoration is compatible with the approved construction.

Baseball Cap Pre-Production Sample
The physical sample confirms fit, measurements, brim profile, closure and decoration before the bulk run is approved.

Baseball Cap Repeat Program
Once approved, the sample and documented specification provide the production reference for future repeat orders and consistency checks.

How an OEM/ODM Hat Project Moves
The open questions change by project, but the handoff points are consistent: brief, artwork and references, mockup, physical sample, written approval and production. See the development notes
01Brief & Open Questions
Send the concept, reference sample or tech pack. We separate what is already specified from what still needs a file, measurement, material choice or buyer decision.
02Artwork & Mockup
Artwork, logo placement and the agreed construction are put into a working mockup. It is a visual checkpoint before the physical prototype, not a substitute for the sample.
03Prototype & Written Approval
The physical sample is reviewed against the agreed brief. Any construction, decoration or placement change is recorded before the project is released to bulk production.
04Production Against the Approved Reference
Bulk production follows the approved sample and written specification. In-line and final checks compare construction, stitching and decoration with that reference.
05Packing & Dispatch
Packing and shipping are confirmed for the order after production review. Tracking and the agreed shipping documents are provided when the goods are dispatched.

Development Decisions From Project Records
Anonymized examples of the points that had to be resolved before a hat project could move forward.
Mockup as a Checkpoint
One buyer wanted the mockup to reflect the cap being discussed, not simply a presentation image. The mockup became an approval checkpoint before sampling.
Read the development noteTechnical Review Before Prototype
Price and freight were already being discussed, but construction still needed a separate manufacturability review before the prototype could be treated as technically confirmed.
Read the development noteMissing Files Stop Exact Work
A cap can be described clearly in email and still be missing the artwork or reference image needed for exact logo placement, decoration or quotation.
Read the development noteFinal Specification Before Sample Quote
When the product description is detailed but one required file is missing, we ask for the missing reference instead of filling the gap with an assumption.
Read the development notePrototype and Bulk Facility
For one program, the buyer asked before sampling whether prototype and bulk production would stay with the same facility. That was confirmed as part of the development record.

The questions professional buyers ask us most — answered directly
What is your minimum order quantity for custom hats?
MOQ depends on the style, material and colors of your specific product — it is not one blanket number. Tell us your design and quantity and we will confirm the current minimum conditions for your project.
Do you accept third-party QC inspection?
Yes. We welcome SGS, TÜV, QIMA, BV and any buyer-appointed inspection agency before shipment. Our factory also performs internal checks against the approved sample and measurement sheet.
Can I approve a physical sample before bulk production?
Yes. The physical sample is the approval gate before bulk production. Once approved, the sample and documented specification become the reference for production and any repeat orders.
What is your monthly production capacity?
The BDBRIM factory in Baoding produces over 300,000 caps per month across cutting, sewing, embroidery, printing and finishing lines, with capacity scaling for seasonal programs.
Which certifications does your factory hold?
The factory is SGS inspected, BSCI audited, and holds OEKO-TEX Standard 100, CE and RoHS certifications. Certification documents are available on request for your compliance file.
How long does production take?
Development, production and transit are separate stages. Actual timing varies by style, quantity, material availability and approvals. We give realistic ranges with conditions for your specific project rather than a universal promise.
What payment terms do you offer?
Standard terms are 30% deposit to start production and 70% balance before shipment. We accept T/T, PayPal, Western Union and Alibaba Trade Assurance.
Will I pay U.S. import duties or tariffs?
Duty depends on product classification, origin and current trade measures, which can change. We can provide product details and classification reference information; please confirm current duty with your customs broker before ordering.
